Insomnia

Insomnia is defined by www.merriam-webster.com as "prolonged and usually abnormal inability to obtain adequate sleep." I have always been a night owl. Even as a kid, I enjoyed the sunset to sunrise. I definitely have more energy at night. Mental energy, as well as physical. I love to clean the house at night, do laundry, shop . . . I like the dark; the peace; the quiet. It's much easier to notice the little things at night. If you’re out, say at an all night Walgreen’s you notice EVERYONE and EVERYTHING where during the day ppl are just one big blur. Albertson's used to be open 24 hours; I don't think it is anymore. That's a shame. Besides having to navigate thru blocked aisles of unstocked boxes of food it's great shopping at night. (Super Wal-Mart, yes. I forgot. NOT a fan.) The only bad thing about shopping in a regular grocery store at night is they usually only have (1) cashier. Most ppl are only buying booze, condoms or a late night snack so I hate to be the one with a HUGE cart of food, keeping all these Horny, Hungry, Drunken, Booze hounds from their debauchery. I let EVERYONE in front of me until anything frozen as turned to goo. But, I still prefer to a crowded Saturday afternoon.

The worst thing about being a "Night owl"? We live in a world of morning ppl. I can appreciate but, loath morning ppl. I think I'm jealous. I know FOR SURE my life would be better as a morning person. I have fought against sleepless nights so many times, dragging myself into work and getting nothing accomplished, counting down the seconds till I can peel myself away.

It's funny how I can get 5 hours of sleep from midnight to 5 a.m. and be EXAUSTED but, get the same number of hours of sleep from 3-4 a.m. to 8-9 a.m. and feel rested. It's amazing.

Everyone at my job is a morning person and is in the office and seated at their desks by SIX A.M.! Then of course I drag (The word is sneak not drag. Dragging makes too much noise. I try to make as little noise as possible and slide on my belly til I'm safely at my desk. It fools no one but, I feel less guilty.) in 2-3 hours later. It looks bad. Very bad. Ppl comment "Here comes the night shift.", "Oh, Good Afternoon . . ." I can be very grumpy in the morning and comments like that make me wanna . . . Grrrrr . . . but, I don't. Nothing gained. Just makes you look worse. Better to grin and bare it.

I wonder what tomorrow . . . I mean today will bring?

Self-couping Chinese in Olympic touch relay (Not Tibetan!)

A Chinese journalist said that a Tibetan supporter ripped off from physically-disabled Beijing Olympic touch relay runner in Paris, & Chinese people stand for Tibet by this violative touch jamming, unable to talk to China gov. & Tibet gov. in exile.

But his speech is NOT a reality.
A touch interruptor was CHINISE supporter's self-coup. (:Fake Tibetan supporter, Not real Tibetan supporter)

What do you think this case?

Free Tibet Candle Lighting vigil 2008-4-2 @Nishi-Azabu

毎晩行われている、失われた人命と、家や祖国や文化を追われてしまった人々、とらわれの身になってしまった人々の
ために、キャンドルライトを灯し、祈ることから、出来ることを考え、知ってもらいたくて、参加してきました。

自分の目で見て、耳で聞いて、理解することから、始めていきます。
小さな事かもしれないけれど、声なき声に、耳を傾けなかったら、それは、傲慢か、恐怖政治なのかもしれません。

せめて、人が、朗らかに、安心して、暮らせるよう、キャンドルの明かりを見つめて、祈りました。
